Corded, cordless, or hand tools: how do you decide?

Each option has tradeoffs in power, portability, maintenance, and price. How do you decide between a corded tool, a cordless model, and a traditional hand tool?

Share an example where your choice worked especially well or where you would choose differently next time.
I choose based on where and how long the tool will run. Cordless wins for quick jobs and awkward locations, corded is better for sustained high-load work near power, and hand tools make sense when precision, quiet, or simple cleanup matters more than speed.
